Ry Cooder's "Available Space" was a version of "Poor Boy" played with a bottleneck on a G Banjo by the famous jug band leader, Gus Cannon, in the 1920s.

Mike is a bottleneck guitarist and has always been fascinated by the different styles played with a slide. This one was recorded using a resonator guitar with a mix of acoustic and pickup amplification. Not quite a banjo but sounds nice played in DADFAD tuning.

iang laid down a subtle bass track to get the bouncy feel of Ry Cooder's version.
