Bringing the thrill of traditional American Blues back to a British audience. The Wandle Delta Blues Band plays music that very few people in Britain get to hear.
	We are dedicated to playing American Blues music in the styles of the different classic blues eras - the '20s, '30s-'40s, '50s and early '60s in both country and urban blues styles from the South and Chicago, plugged and unplugged, including Jug Band music featuring washboard, kazoos and whisky jug. Just like the original music, we give you the rough and the smooth, hard urban sounds down to subtle jazz blues guitar or soulful bottleneck. But blues is not just good music...
	We believe that the Blues is about mood, feeling and meaningful songs and is not simply music. It is all about passion, love, hardship, poverty, alcohol, sex and all those other things that mess one's life up, but it's also about dancing, having fun, humour and feeling good. We play the Blues with a feeling and let you hear the songs. If you are down, we'll take you back up. If you're up, we'll take you higher. If you just want to dance, then boogie, chillun!
	The guys in the band have all been round the block a couple of times and we've derived influences from all sorts of musical styles and players over a long time. We all put in our own special flavors into the mix and practise intensely every week, gig or no gig, because we want the audience to enjoy the feeling of the Blues in all its forms. Basically, the Blues makes us feel good and there is nothing better than passing that on. So come and enjoy!
